Books and Reading

My BooksMy Books My Books

I wanted to share with you my book collection on healthy living. The above pictures show about 85% of my books that I have purchased over the past few years. When I started this journey, I was completely clueless, I literally had no knowledge on healthy eating. My idea of a healthy meal was Ham and mashed potatoes and I felt great after I cooked that and thought wow, what a healthy day. Now, I do not eat Ham or mashed potatoes, reason will come in following posts.

When you are beginning this journey, if you are anything like me, you are going to read and read some more. Or find blogs and websites that have free information for you. I want to share with you a few books and blogs that I think are fantastic and I have learned a lot from, and you can too.

1. Kimberly Snyder. This women is a clinical nutritionist. I follow her on facebook, and I read a lot of her books. She explains healthy living in a manner that an everyday person can understand. Her analogies are helpful and make it easy to remember. I have read some books, when finished, thought to myself “I just ready 250 pages and I have no idea what I just read”. Some authors just can’t explain nutrition in a way that regular people can understand. Well, Kimberly Snyder does! I recommend checking her out on face book or googling her for her website and you will be happy with the rest.

2. This way sound weird, but Gwyneth Paltrow is a “foody” as she calls it. I have purchased her cook books and I am telling, this women can cook. She has fantastic recipes (and I will share a lot of them in the recipe section of my blog)that are healthy, kid friendly, and easy to make. I strongly recommend picking up her cookbooks. Out of all the cookbooks I have, I refer to hers and use her recipes more than any of my other books combined.

3. The China Study. When I started reading and learning about all of this, the majority of books I would read referred to “The China Study”. So I went and bought it. This book is based on a study spanning 20 years on nutrition. The results are clear: What we eat and how we eat is what causes cancer. Fantastic book and you will learn a lot. One negative, there were parts of it that I found really boring, and I did skip. lol…I am not a scientist so reading results sometimes I find boring. But through out my blog I will definitely talk about the results and what was learned and we can take and learn from this book.

4. My last recommendation is a controversial one. But I absolutely loved this book and learned a lot from it. It is Kevin Trudea’s Natural Cures They don’t want you to know about”. It talks about government corruption and such, but I enjoyed the natural cures and options that he mentions. Again, controversial book but very informative, interesting and really gets you thinking about changing your lifestyle. Great motivator.

I hope you check out some of these authors and books, I loved them and refer to them and what I learned from them on a regular basis

Remember healthy mothers, it’s about healthy living for you and your family

Hey just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few
of the images aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think
its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same results.

At this point the Broker probably isn’t thinking about commissions or referrals,
just the service that the client gets and there is the crux of the matter.

s precisely why it needs to be entrusted to a reliable firm.
